She has embarked on an inspirational initiative, and her mission statement is as straightforward as can be: Act From Your Heart helps bring Art and Heart into the workplace by incorporating creativity and mindfulness into the office, school, library, hospital and any other community setting.

Like the Art for Healing Foundation (www.artforhealingfoundation.org), her service aims to enliven these environments, infusing them with art and a touch of humanity.

The project has three branches, as it were: Art for the Workplace, Quiet Rooms, and Team Building Activities, each with a specific vision, and based on extensive research on the part of the organizers.

Using a quote from Steve Jobs as their motto: "You cannot mandate productivity, you must provide the tools to let people become their best," Sorensen and her team have their work cut out for them.

Perusing their website is a good start for anyone interested in embedding art, as it were, in our daily activities, and for artists looking for new ways to display their work. From Art for the Workplace that provides art in a variety of mediums for corporate and business spaces; through The Quiet Room that is exactly that, a room to take a break from stress in the presence of a work of art; to Team Building Activities aimed at inspiring a new, more playful approach to the office environment.
