For its website, Vie des arts is looking for English written exhibition critiques and news articles that highlight contemporary issues presently shaping the art world. Submissions must include a short pitch (350 words) with the subject you want to cover and a brief description of the critical angle you will use, three excerpts of texts (published or unpublished), and a short biography (30 words). They should be sent in one PDF named accordingly (NAME_pitch_english-content) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The next deadline to submit a pitch is October 29th, 2023.
Otherwise, the pitches can be sent at any time, and decisions will be made according to the following schedule:
For a topic or an event taking place between April and July, please send it before Mai 14th, 2023 (for the autumn issue);
For a topic or an event taking place between July and October, please send before August 6th, 2023 (for the winter issue);
For a topic or an event taking place between October and December, please send before October 15th, 2023 (for the spring issue);
For pitches concerning a topic or an event taking place between December and March, please send it before 5th February, 2023 (for the summer issue)
Please note that proposals written by artists about their own work will not be considered.
In an effort to encourage a plurality of voices and perspectives on contemporary art, Vie des arts would like to extend a specific, but not exclusive, invitation to Black, Indigenous and People of color to submit a pitch for an article.
